physical or cognitive challenges
Move-n-GrooveTM is a high energy relationship-centered program of music and fitness that promotes human flourishing. By using familiar and upbeat music, evocative props, and a variety of simple movements, we create an emotionally safe and supportive environment where adults with physical or cognitive challenges can actively engage and inspire one another.
Gathering in a large circle, we transform the space into a dance of interaction where participants are welcomed by name so they know they're an integral part of the group. The experience promotes healthy hearts, healing relationships, and a greater sense of belonging as we share in pleasurable movement, singing, attention to task, laughter, and joy, which in turn decreases feelings of anxiety, agitation, and loneliness. Best of all, the emotional impact lingers long after the program ends.
